My Thoughts:
In this quote the first sentence is obviously true (even nowadays). Businesses can fail any time and they fail all the time. And "Ruin is always a danger" is a little like "and the outcome can be negative as well" it can be always the outcome. This quote only comments the negative part of entrepreneurship, trying and business. Still this quote rings true in my ears, there is always the possibility of failure (in everything) and we know that. It doesn't matter how good the probabilities are, there always is the possibility.
