My Thoughts:

How long do feelings last? Do some feelings pass quicker than others? Probably.

But what about passion? Does passion automatically have an expiring day? Or does it just mellow out into another form of passion that is sustainable for a longer time? In this quote the ability to last is equalized with sanity or insanity, which is an interesting thought.
